This is intended to be The Angst in that I like all complicated bits about people and why they do what they do. It will also be The Angst because, woof, it is fun to write. So non canon plot built on the foundations of canon plot and overused tropes incoming.
Part 1 of this work is setting the stage for some of the whys and hows of this story. You can get by without it for the most part if it doesn't suit you. By Chapter 33, we're in the thick of it though so... it might be confusing without it. Maybe it doesn't matter. YOU DO YOU. I certainly am following that advice. Finally, I think I can claim the "plot" tag (obv also the "smut" tag) because we have -dun dun dun- character growth finally by Chapter 37 :D
