Summary
The time has come for Improvement Day, Heaven's decennial work retreat. The angels posted to Earth are relieved of their terrestrial assignments and join middle management in attempting to improve organizational operations right across the board. Typical activities include name games, trust falls, client-facing skill role play, and miracle budget workshops. It's loathed by all the Earth operatives- but particularly by Aziraphale, who always finds himself unable to fit in (no matter how many icebreakers there are).
This year, an angel no one quite remembers seeing before is on a mission to befriend Aziraphale, but it seems that the odds are against him. He has to contend with a networking-obsessed Gabriel and an unabashedly flirtatious colleague; Michael thinks he might be the next big thing in parsimonious celestial energy handling; and Sandalphon is sure he's seen him somewhere before. Meanwhile, Aziraphale's angry with him for showing up, the gold paint on his cheeks is flaking, losing a contact lens would mean a quick discorporation at the hands of four dozen angels, and isn't this just the story of Crowley's life?

“You know,” Anthony said, running his fingertips over the rim of his glass. “I don’t do this sort of thing often. Or at all, really.”
Asa blinked, confused. “Eat food?”
“No,” Anthony laughed. “I eat food all the time. Well, when I remember to. No, I meant…” Anthony gestured at the two of them, their table. “This. Dinner with someone I just met. Dinner with anyone, really.”
“Oh, I’d think, surely…”
“What?” He leaned forward and rested his chin in his hand. The intensity of his gaze had Asa blushing. “You think I ask out any old bookseller I meet?” His gaze softened. “No. There’s… something about you.”
“Aziraphale,” they said. Anthony froze. He wasn’t sure why, but he felt his heart stutter in his chest. “Do you recognize that name?”
He couldn’t move from where he stood, one hand on the back of his chair, halfway on the way out. “I don’t– wh– nghk–”
“He liked books, and sushi. I think.”
The week Asa Fell met Anthony Crowley might be the best week of his life. It is also the strangest. After all, angels and demons, yellow eyes and infinitely large bookshops can’t be real. Or can they?

Summary
After chasing an assumed boyfriend-napper through the academy gardens only to discover the hulking beast of the night was his boyfriend, Crowley gets himself grass stains on his knees, a possible rearrangement of some vital organs, and a thousand questions.
Now that the full moon is over and his fussy partner is able to give him breakfast in bed and attention, some of those questions can finally be asked.

Summary
Crowley remembered Aziraphale’s hand crushing his own with desperate ferocity at the final moment, as though love itself might anchor them against the unravelling. He remembered thinking, with a grief so enormous it eclipsed fear entirely, that they had only just found each other properly. Only just allowed themselves to want. And then he had dissolved into nothing at all.
Only to wake up.

Aziraphale and Crowley willingly sacrificed themselves in order for a Godless universe to thrive, to give humanity a chance at life without destiny. So how come they still exist?
