Sophia loves bossing Eddie around, he just assumed she would use him for any help she needed. That’s what they always do. But if she is teaching Buck how to make them…
That could really only mean one thing.
“Tamales?” he asks, hand shaking slightly as he takes a drink.
“Yeah!”
Eddie stares at Buck’s smile, at his beautiful, oblivious smile. So. This was Sophia’s endgame. She’s not just here to steal his best friend for herself. She’s here to steal his best friend for herself and marry him and live happily ever after while Eddie watches with a broken heart.
(or, Sophia is teaching Buck a recipe reserved for family. Eddie has a very normal reaction to this.)

Summary
Eddie swallowed, letting out a soft Mmm. Buck could always make the best food. But, what Eddie wasn’t ready for was Buck’s fingers, still wet from the soup caught on Eddie’s chin, lifting up towards his mouth. Buck stuck his fingers in his own mouth and sucked the soup off, eye contact not once faltering.
Eddie couldn’t help but bite his lip as heat started to pool in his lower abdomen. Buck moaned a bit, eyes blinking shut for a second to open up again and stare deeper into Eddie’s eyes. He turned around and walked away, unbothered, as if nothing had just happened.
or: Eddie gets sick and Buck feels he has to help him.

EXCERPT:
Buck winces as the antiseptic wipe hits his skin. “I’m dealing…dealing with some health stuff, but I’m handling it, it’s nothing serious.” Chim looks at him. “It’s just a precaution. Blood clots, you know? I’m gonna be okay,” he says.
“Okay.” Chim doesn’t sound convinced. His jaw works at the gum that’s always in his mouth. “Buck, I just went through all of this with Hen, so don’t make me do it again.”
“No, I won’t.”
“If it’s actually serious, you’re going to tell me?”
“Yes.”
Chim finishes wrapping Buck’s arm. “Fine,” he says. They move out of the way as the rest of the team approaches the ambulance with the gurney, the patient now stabilized. “Just don’t make me sic Maddie on you.”
“I don’t think it’s Maddie he needs to worry about.” This is Ravi, who watches as Eddie glances their way and immediately catches sight of the bandage on Buck’s arm, his features at first neutral, then turning to stone.
Buck sees Eddie and for a moment, their eyes meet.
