Summary
In a world of scientifically proven psychic abilities, the practitioners - the so-called Talents - are called on to serve the public good. This is never more true than in Gotham, where the Wayne Parapsychic Institute works diligently for justice and peace in what is otherwise a mecca of rogue Talents. Bruce Wayne is one of the most powerful Talents on record; a Prime. So are all his children. All, that is, except for Tim Drake; a winged donkey to their high-flying Pegasus. Fed up with the constant reminders that he will never be able to catch up to their flight into the stars and beyond, he leaves.
Trying to put the shattered pieces of his life together, he comes across Jason Todd; former member of the Wayne Parapsychic Institute and a powerhouse in terms of Talent, alive in an asylum years after everyone assumed him dead.
Tim is determined to help Jason find a way back. Jason might end up teaching him a way forward.

Suuuuper duper loved this. The pacing was great, the plot followed Red Robin highlights while still being fresh and exciting. The mix of Gotham and a typical syfy future city worked really well. I haven't read the Talents series, but I want to now! Author did a great job fitting in everything I needed to know though, but it was primarily Batman characters and plots, so I was already good there. The actual romance between Jason and Tim was very light, so if that's not your thing don't let this put you off.

Very well told - love the angst, the dynamics, the win... It all blended together really well and I was hooked. I think what I like most is that it's actually about community - not the online one, though how we consume media is obv a big element but this was really about friends and family more than Tim and Jason getting together. Left me with all kinds of warm fuzzies! Couldn't put it down, it is wayyyy past my bedtime!

IMO on of the best 'Tim is taken for granted reveal' story. And there are a lot! At first I didn't know about Tim being gender bent, but hooooly did it reveal to me some of my own internalized misogyny, and really added a depth to the character that 100% deserved to be explored. I could've used more out of the ending, but honestly, there no way to be disappointed with this story. And it really is so well written - a rare use of flashbacks that doesn't slow the plot but advances it with relevant history (I know that's usually the goal but it often falls short) AND they aren't so long that it lost its momentum. I laughed, I cried, the dialogue and banter was so real. Very enthusiastic 👍👍

Wow, great story. Just really honours what Steve must've struggled with, waking up 'in the future', and also finds the best parts of Steve, Bucky, and Dick Grayson and holds them up to the light. This was so well written I'm a little sick over that fact that it isn't canon. Or at least an incredibly popular ship that has a bajillion fics, because I want more! Luckily, this author has a few combinations, loved everything they do so far!

Damian pulls out his phone and dials Richard’s number- his chauffeur has been unfortunately painstakingly instructed to answer no calls whatsoever from Damian, and Alfred has begun to pretend that phones do not exist during school hours. Unsurprisingly, as it is eight in the morning, it goes to voicemail. Damian waits impatiently for the beep. “Richard,” he says, in tones of the deeply suffering, “this place is a hostile environment. I must be collected post-haste, as after this latest indignity I am dropping out. Come at once, or I may die here.”
The dynamic duo attend a parent-teacher conference. No one has a good day.
