They come to a stop at a red, where the engines soften to a rattlesnake hum. Johnny can feel their eyes on his face. He says again, shortly, “You heard Sensei. Nobody’s picking anybody. If LaRusso has a problem with that, he has a problem with Cobra Kai.”
“Yeah,” says Tommy, clearly uncertain but willing as always to jump at a cue.
“If you have a problem with that,” says Johnny, “you have a problem with Sensei,” and guns the engine without waiting to see the looks on their faces.
After his altercation with Johnny on the beach, Daniel LaRusso joins Cobra Kai. Johnny copes with it.
