Megumi Fushiguro was born and raised to be a spy. It was what he knew best, and he was used to his tedious work and repetitive schedule...that was until one mission changed everything . As he attempts to keep up with his alias and his schooling, he can't help but notice that his roommate seems to be hiding something as well. Not that he cares, obviously, but it's difficult not to be curious when he chooses to leave through the window and not the front door...
Yuuji Itadori started his freshman year of university excited for a year of baseball and making friends, what he did not expect, was getting spider abilities in his first week and being roommates with the prettiest boy he'd ever seen.
His grandfather's last words echo through his head as he develops into Tokyo's beloved "spiderman" and takes on every task from saving cats to defeating mysterious villains. However, no matter how many fights he wins, he can't shake the feeling that he's being watched...and that there is a much bigger plot than he can wrap his head around.

Summary
As the second prince of the Zen'in Empire, Megumi never really expected greatness from his life. He wasn't directly in line for the throne like his older brother — he wasn't expendable army-fodder like his younger brothers. Megumi always expected to marry high, stick to his ancient texts and occupy some important aristocratic position in the refined Zen'in court, where most of the pleasant smiles hid petty grudges and the prim nobles all watched for the slightest hints of weakness.
What he didn't expect, though, was for his father, the Emperor Zen'in, to marry him to the warlike Itadori kingdom in a political alliance.
He wanted to hate the new kingdom. The rough soldiers, the desert life, the way everyone seemed to just speak their mind bluntly rather than taking the time to be polite. He wanted to hate his fiancé, Itadori Yuji, the way he grinned all the time and laughed in a playful cadence. Princes were meant to act refined, and Yuji was everything Megumi disliked.
But hatred is a pretty hard emotion to carry in the face of freedom.

“It would have been nice to know that her innate technique had manifested before you brought her over.” Maki crosses her arms, shooting Megumi an irritated look. Megumi balks, sharing another look with Yuuji before turning back to her.
“Tsuki doesn’t have an innate technique. Not one that we know about, anyways.” Megumi tries, but Maki shakes her head. Yuuji’s hand rests on Megumi’s knee, squeezing him lightly as they brace for the news they’re about to hear.
“Well, I guess we got lucky, because it manifested tonight.” Maki sits back, far too casual for such a big moment. Megumi stares between her and Yuuta, who chuckles lightly.
“Surprise.” He says weakly.
