Summary
"Shane was waddling across the pond in a McGill University hockey sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up multiple times since he hadn’t grown into it yet. His waddle turned into a glide, and the pond turned into the Ottawa arena where he took a sharp shot on a wide open net. He turned around expecting David to be right behind him, exactly where he had stood before giving him a push, but David wasn’t there. No one was."
Shane and Ilya are just starting their summer break, enjoying time at the cottage, but when David Hollander offers to step in as a substitute coach at hockey camp, they start thinking about the future of their own family.
