‘It’s dangerous baby. You’re not a bird.’

Summary
Things start as they always do, on a normal day, on a normal planet. They save everyone, and in turn, Lance gets to drink a Truth potion he didn't ask for.
Keith looks too beautiful and his body hurts all the times, and there are so many things Lance wants to keep quiet.
The longer it lasts, the harder it gets. He can only hold on, and hope his friends will love him in spite of everything he never wanted to say (they will).

“I broke my arm last year,” Lance said. “I fell out of a tree and had to wear a cast for a month.”
“I split my chin on the fireplace when I was four,” Keith said proudly, pointing to a small scar on his chin.
“I guess we’re both pretty tough,” Lance concluded. “But if you aren’t hurt, why were you crying?”
Keith’s eyes widened. Lance had noticed it immediately — the other boy’s eyes were still red, after all.
In which Lance and Keith meet as kids, grow up together, and fall in love (with a few misunderstandings and accidental confessions thrown into the mix).

--
Due to a mysterious monster Voltron faced, and a sacrifice that no one remembers, the entire universe forgot that Lance existed. Keith's the only one who seems to realize that something is amiss.
