Instead of reluctantly sending him on his way when Viper insists on getting back to his race without getting a CT, Meredith flirts him into a promise to come back after the race is over. When it turns out that bantering with him is a lot of fun? Well, who can blame a girl for flirting with a hot boy? (Derek Shepherd, actually).
Because the way Viper looked at Meredith when she was snarky was so ridiculously appreciative, it felt worth exploring. With a few tweaks to make him kissing her a mutual thing.
