You glance over your shoulder and turn ever so slowly (as if you’re afraid of what you’re about to see) to find your daughter standing near the lip of the training grounds. The torches and lantern light dance in the wind, casting a long flickering shadow over her. Your blood runs cold when your eyes spy the glint of gold and blue.
There, at the northern entrance of the grounds (towards the Lost Woods), you see her— your small and frail daughter holding the immaculate blade of legend close to her chest.
There, you see your little Zelda clutching onto the sacred sword that seals the darkness like a lifeline.
