He knows why he’s awake. He’s not sure he wants to acknowledge it to himself, but he’s going to have to sooner or later, might as well do it at two fuckin thirty-four in the damn morning.
His brain automatically does the math, whether he wants it to or not. Rafael’s flight gets in at 11:33. The airport is a 47 minute drive from his house. He should be there no later than 11:15 just in case the flight is early. The flight won’t be early, Raf is flying east to west so they’ll be bucking head winds coming in. But even so, 11:15 is good. So, his brain continues the calculations.

Henry sinks deeper into the couch. He leans back and feels Alex shift with him and grumble slightly as he moves in his sleep. Tipping his head back, Henry closes his eyes and lets his mind wander. They’ve had a busy week. Things are seldom dull at the shelter. Each new kid, each new case brings them something just a little bit different.

She heard him over and over echoing in her mind. Everything inside of her wanted to be what he needed. She longed to take that step forward into his arms. But, years and years of building walls and hiding behind them immobilized her keeping her from accepting what he was offering. Years of fear and protecting herself from being abandoned again held her rooted in place. She wanted to convince herself that they would be okay, that she would be okay. That she could give him everything. But she was so damaged. She knew that she was damaged. She wanted to be different. But she didn't know how.
Over and over and over, she just kept hearing his words, "I'm that guy, Bones. I'm that guy."

It has been a stressful few days to say the least. Dr. Temperance Brennan isn't sure she can yet make sense of everything that has transpired in the past 48 hours. She looks around the table at this group of people who have become her friends and family. It's hard to imagine they've been in her life as long as they have – she’s been friends with Angela the longest of them all, Booth for seven years, Jack a little longer, and Cam a little less. As she looks at their faces, the sudden smile, the wiped aside tears, the smirk, the curly hair, the broad shoulders, she realizes that she has come to rely on these people and is grateful for each of them.

Okonjo. As in, the name on the building. Alex counts this as a blessing. "I just had a quick question," he manages to get out through his nerves. "Obviously I'm too old to stay here, but." "Don’t ‘baby’ me," he says. "At first it was those shorts that might as well have been a skirt—"
"You liked them, didn't you?" Alex asks, wiggling his eyebrows.
Henry doesn't answer, but the truth is written all over his face.
"—and then, that bloody windbreaker that became transparent and stuck to your skin like it was a part of you. It's clear to everyone that you are toned and lean; you don't have to advertise it, you know?" Henry says, huffing. "It was like a blasted neon sign screaming Have you seen my sweaty chest? Do you want to lick it?
"And did you…want to…lick it?" Alex asks as he steps onto Henry's lap in the armchair. He punctuates his question as he settles each leg around Henry's, the armchair large enough to hold them both comfortably.
Or: Alex's choice of running clothes makes Henry jealous and possessive. The only obvious solution is for him to make sure Alex knows who he belongs to.
