At camp, he forms reluctant bonds—starting with Grover’s quiet loyalty and growing into something far more complicated when Percy draws the attention of Luke Castellan, an older camper who recognizes Percy’s anger, restraint, and loneliness all too well. What begins as mentorship and protection slowly turns into something warmer, sharper, and far more dangerous.
As grief, attraction, and resentment intertwine, Percy must decide who he trusts: the gods who claim him, or the people who choose him. This is a story about corrupted innocence, slow-burn romance, and the thin line between being forged into a hero—or becoming something the gods should have feared from the beginning.

The camp erupted. Demigods stirred, whispered, some gasped, some stumbled back as if hit by a sudden wave. Above Percy’s head, a familiar symbol blazed — a trident carved from light and salt, ancient and relentless. A sign of recognition. A sign of judgment.
Something was wrong.
Percy realized it instantly, with that icy clarity that comes neither in sleep nor wakefulness, but somewhere in between. Just a second ago, he had been standing in his bathroom. Narrow mirror. Dim light. Tiles under bare feet. In his hand — a bottle of alcohol, half-empty, half-promising oblivion.

Percy Jackson has spent the last few years getting ahold of being a demigod. Heading home for Christmas, he thought he'd have a break from the stress of preparing for the war against Kronos. Instead, he's dragged along with his mom to London, where a family reunion turns worse for wear when his mom's cousin releases a God. Faced with the realization that the Greek Gods aren't the only pantheon out there, Percy is forced to either abandon his family, or get himself entangled with the troubles of the Egyptian Gods.
