Visiting one’s own tomb was always an unsettling experience, being neither alive nor truly dead made the event feel more like a bad joke. He didn’t dare to bring flowers or any other kind of offering for the same reasons, not to his or anyone else’s. Though he made sure to clean the stone of any debris, the inscription on it served more like a reminder to him than about him.
