Bookmarker's Notes
This is, thus far, hands down my favourite characterization of Yue. We love a girl-to-woman who is sheltered to the point of collapsing under the weight of that which she’s expected to carry in silence until she gets exactly one (1) opportunity to live a different life and takes it. Viciously. And, frankly, I ADORE the branching off from her typical saint-like characterization to make her just unbelievably horny for Zuko (which, fair) in a way that was equal parts hilarious and charming.
I also really enjoyed Zuko’s characterization here, as well as the idea that it takes him finding one (1) little dragon to realize that, actually yeah, who cares about the Avatar or his dad? He has a DRAGON— and since the ‘extermination’ of them was pretty bad, I guess the ‘extermination’ of the Southern Water Tribe and the Air Nomads was bad too, and— uh oh, guess I better fix the entire world (god, massive props to the “The Fire Nation is actually atrocious at getting rid of the things/people they brag that they got rid of” plot points and jokes). It was so fascinating to see a Zuko that allowed himself softness without the Gaang and how it shaped his interactions with a Yue that, frankly, was no match for her sheer determination to 1) get outside 2) get away from all the expectations on her and 3) get that prince at all costs (“in the dirt, in the mud”— that nearly KILLED ME with how hard I laughed).
Just genuinely, fantastic. Sweet, funny, and satisfying (in any and all contexts).

Glimpses and snapshots of Katara and Zuko's lives, from the four-part finale to post-LoK. Mostly canon compliant, but ultimately Zutara.

Summary
After the war ends, Katara finally decides to return Aang's advances. They grow together, begin a family together, and live a life together.
Katara is happy. She is. But sometimes she can't help but wish things could be better.
Or, a realistic, canon-compliant exploration of Katara's life based on the hints left by canon. Not a good story for Kataang fans.

Bookmarker's Notes
A devastating reality, both for a fictional world and ours. It is, tragically, how canon likely went thanks to the show runners. I’ll never get over it— nor this. This may be the best-written awful, bitter-tasting ending I’ve subjected myself to.
