It might have been reckless, and it might have been stupid, but Joel had gathered everything he needed for a short trip through the mountains and hills, towards an old acquaintance.
It wasn't safe, for he was an omega, and his Master knew nothing of the plan.
It wasn't well-thought of because he knew little of the woman, he would end up meeting but that she helped him and his brother nearly a decade ago in times of great need.
It wasn't even a true escape for as soon as he left, he longed for the comfort and warmth he left at his Master's home. He had been pampered and well cared for. He surely had less reason to run than he used to.

Summary
Liam finds out he is pregnant with his abusive ex's child in his last semester of college. In a moment of panic, Liam lies that the hot Alpha he met at work and passed out to the pheromones of is the actual father.
A truly foolproof plan where nothing can go wrong. The Alpha sleeps around a lot so surely Liam's ex will believe the story. Unfortunately, the Alpha also believes the lie.
