Summary
The World ended in six days.
Ace Trappola spent the first year of the apocalypse surviving beside his older brother Rowan. Together they learned how to run, how to hide, how to kill, and how to keep moving before grief could catch up to them.
Then a horde tears them apart.
Ace spends months crossing ruined cities and empty highways searching for Rowan, refusing to believe he's dead even when every sign points otherwise.
While raiding an abandoned convenience store, Ace runs into a chaotic group of survivors: a former delinquent trying desperately to become a better person, an exhausted swordsmen with too much responsibility, a wolf beastmen with trust issues, and a feral monster-cat that keeps trying to bite him.
Ace fully intends to ditch them.
Unfortunately, they keep saving his life.
As the group grows to include survivors from every corner of the shattered world, Ace finds himself becoming the thing thing he swore he never would:
Someone people rely on.
But Rowan is still out there.
