Lio tries to hide how new it is to sleep in the same place every night. Galo doesn’t notice at first, with everything that’s happened. Then one night Lio wakes him up, screaming with nightmares, and Galo starts to put some things together. How can he help Lio, who’s used to so much noise, deal with silence in his head?

Lio breaks his eyes away from the neon light and to his right.
Galo stands and stares out at the light he had once been staring at, a faint grin on his face. He barely turns his head and the flickering green lights up his cerulean eyes.“Figured you could use a blanket if you were gonna sit up here.”

Summary
Every day, he'd come into the station and see Lio, sitting on the couch in the lounge, thousands of papers laid on the coffee table that he doubted could hold the weight.
Each one, a person.
This is all he had left. Just names and faces of people who were once alike, now nothing more than discriminated by what they were.
The reality weighs so heavily, so squarely on Lio's shoulders that it must feel like the world is falling apart.
So Galo devises a plan.-
A fic in which Galo hopes to remind Lio of who he is and what he's done, Burnish or not.
