An eight year old girl uses her dead uncle's wand to apparate to Hogwarts to get away from her father's family, while her mother is on a mission for the Ministry. It is precocious and unheard of for someone so young, but then again, she is her mother's daughter. The headmaster is unprepared for the hurricane that is Hermione's child, and so is Lucius Malfoy.
