Summary
Voldemort was expecting to see pain when he touched the Potter brat in the graveyard, but that’s not at all what he discovered. Hadrian Potter, his enemy since birth, cried big fat tears and angrily babbled at Voldemort to go away.
Voldemort entered the boy’s mind, and when he found a fog over his newer memories, and his oldest memories pushed to the front, Voldemort made the decision to kidnap Potter. Neither of them expected it would lead to something so mutually beneficial.
Or, I was making myself sad by writing a different fanfiction and thought Harry deserved cuddles and protection, and had Voldemort give them to him.
