Summary
Being a vigilante was one thing. Izuku was good at that. Izuku knew how to do that. Being a normal teenager? That was a LOT more complicated.
It was bad enough that Eraserhead had caught him, let alone that the underground hero had realised that the reason he was a vigilante despite his age was because he had to be awake at night. It was too dangerous to sleep on the streets in the nights. That discovery of course had led to Eraserhead realising not only was Izuku homeless, he also hadn’t been going to school since the event- the event of course being after the sludge villain attack when he had gotten kicked out by Inko for being too reckless.
Eraserhead, being the obnoxiously caring hero he was, decided to take Izuku in, which in theory would be fine, but in practice? It was bullshit.

"DAD. DAD. DAD. DAD-" izuku bounced over to where shouta had flopped onto the loveseat next to the couch akin to a particularly depressed, dying starfish and all but drape himself over shouta’s back like a human imitation of his capture scarf.
"what,” the man grunted, not quite awake enough to entertain his son’s radiating energy.
"i’m MARRIED!" izuku’s ex-teacher-turned-father-figure choked on his spit at that, eyes flying open and immediately more awake at the admission.
"a-again?!" the man sputtered, eyes wide and his face pale looking almost comically panicked and traumatized.
OR
izuku LOVES his husband and makes it everyone’s problem <3

“Leave him alone,” Aizawa says, voice like steel.
The villain chuckles softly, ignoring him. Instead, they tilt their head toward Aizawa, still staring at Midoriya. “Funny thing. He doesn’t make much noise anymore during our meetings. No matter what I try.” He leans closer to Midoriya, lowering his voice conspiratorially. “But he sure was concerned when you didn’t seem to be waking up. You… I can see it already. You’ll scream. And he’ll hate every second of it.”
Midoriya’s breath stutters.
The villain straightens, voice louder now, dripping with cruel delight. “But I’m nothing if not fair. Let’s make it interesting, shall we? Here’s the deal. Every time I decide to have some fun, you, my dear boy, get to choose. Him-” He gestures lazily at Aizawa, whose eyes flash with fury even through exhaustion. “Or you.”
Or, Midoriya and Aizawa are captured by a villain wanting revenge on Aizawa.

“midoriya. izuku.” the man absolutely seethed and izuku felt chills down his spine. which was stupid. you’d think that after dying, he’d have experienced the worst life had to offer but nooo he just had to get adopted as a ghost and find out what being at the receiving end of his dad’s disappointed dad face feels like.
“alright, alright,” he pouted, dragging his feet into the salt circle, stopping to stand right in it’s centre with his arms crossed in teenage defiance. “no need to pull out the full government name.”
