Maki pulls Rantaro to the side roughly a week after Kaede and Shuichi join the group. It doesn’t take Rantaro long to figure out that something is bothering her.
“Do you need my help with something?” Rantaro asks.
It takes Maki a moment to respond. She spends a good few seconds gnawing at the skin around her thumb before dropping her hand, her frown growing deeper. “I think there’s too many of us.”
