Summary
This is a work that I started in a letter that I wrote to my sister. She couldn't read much because we had a two year old visiting the house.Therefore, while I was at camp I started this story for her. I finished it when I got back. It is shameless fluff. When my sister read it, she described it as, "Having just drunk a vat of caramel." It will give you warm fuzzies at the end and you will giggle from the intense sappiness. It was very therapeutic to write. (Especially after all my intense IB papers)
The story is centered around events while visiting a foreign planet. A very brightly coloured planet. Along with Spirk. Enjoy.

Summary
There weren't many things that Grace would trade his peaceful life on Erid for.
Honestly, most aspects of his new life were far better than his old one.
But sometimes he wished for human company, someone to understand slightly better how he felt.
So when Adrian's team had discovered a human trapped in a submersible while surveying other planets that might need treatment with the Taumeba, he'd said yes without hesitation to looking after the man.

Summary
The proximity radar gives notice on their way to Adrian. Grace has to scrap two days’ worth of math to change their course to accelerate in Blip Z’s direction, not to speak of the calculus needed to return back en route to the planet.
If the two of them are even still alive by that point. Who knows what Blip Z has to offer. Just because Grace has been 1/1 when it comes to interacting with unknown manned objects in outer space doesn’t mean he can start thinking of himself as some sort of alien whisperer.
But: Rocky said he can hear a heartbeat. Grace can’t ignore a heartbeat in space. He’ll do years of algebra if that’s the cost. And algebra is his least favourite.

Summary
Whatever happened here was bad. Irrevocably, inexplicably, inarticulably bad in a way that the most basal parts of his being wants nothing more than to escape from. But Grace can't turn away.
After encountering what appears to be a last hoo-ra emergency mission attempt from Earth caught up in the Hail Mary's wake, Grace and Rocky discover a single, severely injured human being quite literally encased in what Grace can only describe as a crime scene. A horror movie. And when he wakes up? He's mad. Really mad. Talking to the walls mad. Now they have to figure out just where he came from and why. Things are further complicated when all the newcomer (Simon, they learn) can talk about is missing planets, haunted oceans, and non-existent space stations. That and the really weird data they've been picking up on.
Maybe part of solving that is, much to Rocky's enthusiasm; both Grace and Simon slowly realizing how lonely they are.Bookmarked by avianeagle
