Summary
And now? Now is just too early.
Too early for not one, not two, but three pregnancy tests from different brands neatly lined up on the white, ever-clean counter of Jack's bathroom to tell her she's pregnant.
Or:
Samira finds out she got pregnant on accident.Bookmarked by bald_dinosaur

Summary
Standing in the bathroom of an apartment that does not belong to her at five in the morning, Samira feels a sense of calm. An inevitability. The owner of these very four walls is currently wrapping up the night shift while she’s staring into a mirror that has seen her reflection more in the last year than her own, and all that she can think is that this… This possibility, whatever it may be…
It feels right.

Summary
Now, to Samira, those few minutes with her partner before he’s about to begin his night shift were about as normal as they can get.
For Jack, his eyes zeroed in on the hand she had resting on her back to relieve pain. They glanced over the dark circles under her eyes that lingered even after a full twelve hours of sleep; he knew she hadn't gotten enough. And much more importantly, his gaze refused to move away from the scrub fabric that covers her stomach once focused there.
Jack Abbot thinks Samira Mohan is pregnant with their baby, and he’s not entirely sure how to tell her.

Summary
She hated the feeling of being helpless and needy. Maybe even hated admitting that she had needs. The idea of baring them to someone, even someone she loved, put her on edge. She knew that Jack was offering to take care of her, but she also knew even he had his limits.
As Samira stewed on it, she didn't see the harm in pushing those limits a little. If Jack was going to send her home from work because she was too sick to help other people, then perhaps she'd show him what being too sick to help herself would look like.
