Lucy told Ernie a beautiful story about the first time she met Kate, but what about Kate's point of view? What happened during her meeting on the island, what was her life like in DC and why does Tennant ship Kacy so hard? Kacy all the way with a touch of Tenstler friendship thrown in, follows canon with a wee bit of creative history bending that honestly just makes sense

Summary
Kate relaxes into the back of the car and closes her eyes. She’s exhausted but is unable to switch her brain off due to the adrenaline left in her system after the show.
Cara sits quietly beside her, aware she doesn’t need to fill the silence, aware that what Kate needs right now IS silence.
Kate has just finished the penultimate show of her yearlong tour, and has one more performance to go before the tour is over, and she can get onto her plane, fly to Hawaii and to the woman waiting for her.
A continuation fic from the first story Just Like Heaven. I'd recommend reading that one first before starting this one
