This ceiling was brown and wooden. A nice shade of brown, like coffee with the perfect measurements of milk, almond flavouring, sugar and cream. Cut, polished, shaved and shined with care as if the person who made it was paid a livable wage. Something that doesn't exist, at least in my world's capitalist society.
With that thought in mind, I concluded I must have been isekaied. Or isekai'd. However, the Japanese word was written in English.
Childe staring at my face was another glaring hint too.

But being in this world, feeling the wind sing a soft lullaby, the sun smiling gracefully upon my cheeks and the very world itself hum with eternal and esoteric life, I feel myself start to weep.
It hurts me. To see a world, with so many details and parts the same as mine, yet flourishing with child-like innocence, feels like a barbed-wire around my neck.
