Any AU / Mutual pining / Hurt/ComfortKakashi knew well his ninken were getting old. He could see it in their slow stretches in the mornings. In their white hairs around the muzzle and the eyes. In the way they sometimes preferred to stay home instead of going for a long walk in the forest.
And that was fine. All his dogs were retired now, just as he was. They deserved to rest as much as they wanted.
