Dan felt a bit better, matter of fact, but there was something underneath the instant relief that just Phil’s presence was just not getting into. There was a need itching between his skin that made him feel desperate, craving for that sweet and safe place that was Phil in all his glory. He needed more.

He throws one of the merch hoodies they’re selling throughout the tour over his head and rushes off of the bus to catch up with the others before they leave without him.

They’ve been out for around 4 hours by the time Dan realises just how many drinks he’s had, and the alcohol did not soothe the empty feeling the absence of his other half had left him. Phil is calling out for him, he can hear him, he can’t find him.
Phil’s hands are suddenly grasping Dan, he’s pulling him closer, Dan’s head resting gently in the crook of Phil’s neck as he tries to calm him down. Dan hasn’t had the time to realise how fast his breathing is, his heart thudding in his chest as he begins to finally open his eyes. The sound of his blood rushes through his ears.''
