Summary
Estinien has a healthy relationship with work: he goes in, he does what is expected of him, he helps others who are in need of it, and he goes home — even if that happens to be well into the evening. Though his sense of purpose may have waned, it affords him the freedom that he's sought since his youth, and he's learned to take all of the ridiculous ups and downs that come with corporate life in stride.
No reason to fix what isn't broken, is there?

“No cash, but if you win, you can punch me as hard as you’d like.” He taps a finger on his cheek and juts out his jaw.
Shigaki snickers, then glances at the way Rodriguez’s biceps bulge and hums to himself, crossing his arms and tapping his brown leather shoe against the stone. “As much as I would like that, there’d be too many questions when you knock my teeth out, Rodriguez-san.”
“Strip cho-han, then.” Rodriguez’s face betrays only a tiny smirk, his voice remaining flat and level.
“Are Haku even allowed to do that?” Shigaki sputters through an incredulous laugh. “In the church?”
“We get bored. These walls have seen worse than gambling, too.”
“Alright. Now I’m interested.” His grin flashes yellow in the light. Rodriguez is up to something, that much Shigaki has been certain of ever since he met the man. He may have misjudged the exact nature of that scheming, though.

Summary
There as may ways to make money in a place like Kamurocho as there are stars in the sky, and Akiyama's sorting through which in his mind he's outgrown as he meanders down Tenkaichi Boulevard. Can collecting's not an efficient use of a lunch break without a bike, and even on one, he gets winded too easily. He's too old to talk Yuya into letting him do a drop-in shift at Stardust, and he's too well-dressed to panhandle. He can't gamble without cash to spend, and even he's not quite shameless enough to borrow from the girls at Elise.
Locked out of Sky Finance, Akiyama scrapes together cash for lunch, by any means necessary.

Kiryu screwed his lips into a grimace and stiffened in discomfort at the title. Next to him, Yayoi took another drag in a vain effort to hide her amused smile. Daigo recalled, belatedly, the difficulty with which he’d persuaded the man to call him something other than young master.
“You haven’t really sworn up yet, so I don’t think…” Kiryu started.
“Okay, well, I’ll still take whatever jobs you give me, Kiryu-san,” Daigo said.
