“Yes, actually,” she replies, which surprises him. “There is another reason we’re calling. Kaori wasn’t alone in the car when the accident happened. Her son, your nephew, was there with her. And you’re the only relative we could contact so far.”
Geto Suguru has no living family remaining. Well, with the exception of Kaori, of course. But she's been estranged for so long, he barely remembers she exists. That is, until she dies and leaves a son behind.
