Summary
“If I tell you to run, you run.”
She kept staring at him, captivated by his proximity.
“Ilsa.” He shook her lightly to make sure he had her full attention.
Could she do this for him? She could not promise, because no one knew what situations exactly they would come to face. However, she would try, because she had faith in him. She also loved him, but that was not the moment to say so, therefore she settled for half of her feelings.
“I trust you.” She answered that, nothing more.
[A few extended scenes, which were cut too short in the movie and a glimpse of their reunion after the mission is accomplished.]

Summary
Eragon and Arya are finally living together in the East. The New Order of the dragon riders is growing, life is ordinary, and Alagaësia is peaceful, but there is an adventure they would like to embark on. Moving past the heartbreak of two miscarriages at the beginning of their relationship, and the knowledge that conceiving for them is difficult, Eragon and Arya will try to fulfil their desire to be parents. Will they defeat the odds?
The story, ideally, takes place after the amazing work “Of Poems and Maps”. It is not strictly necessary to have read it first, but my story contains multiple references to life events Eragon and Arya went through in that fic. It begins around 10 years after "Of Poems and Maps" events and it explores one storyline the author left open.

He felt her reassuring squeeze on his fingers as she turned in his arms to face him.
This was always the part he dreaded. To gaze upon her face and know that with every day that passed, some other detail would fade. The exact shade of her lips, the curl of her eyelashes. He saw her only in the broadest of strokes now, the palate of her dimming over time.
