Valarr stood there, unmoving, confused and undeniably hurt. Why was Roland denying him? The same man who was as unrelenting in his affections as he was in their secret lovemakings. There stood the same knight who, just a couple moons ago, professed his love for the prince over and over as he fucked him into the mattress in his own bedchamber.
