bkmrked this a millenia ago and just now realizing that I never left kudos??????? what kind of bs is this
anyways, I genuinely love the prose of this. biker never referring to jacket by name is top-notch, it very much gives off the feeling of disassociation that's so heavy in 2/3 of this. I also really appreciate how open-ended the ending is; they're likely going to be on their guards and wanted for the rest of their lives, but there's that bit of hopefulness that they need to keep going.
the way bikers rage contrasts with jackets despair/stoicism is 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷, I could eat that shit every single fucking day.
