The moons begin to appear and with that, people make their way over. Slowly as though to prevent startling them or disrupting the silence they’ve been yearning for. Now that the adrenaline has dissipated, all that’s left is exhaustion that calls for uninterrupted rest.
Catra pulls away, gazing at Adora with a softness that she’ll learn to feel worthy of. She will. She wants to. Because of Catra, she’ll surely have time to.
“Ready to head back?” Catra whispers.
Adora brushes Catra’s bangs from her face. A rope tugs from within her stomach and calls her forward, slithering around her ribs. Adora listens, lets herself remember what this means. There’s no need to ignore them now. She leans in and kisses Catra’s forehead. “Lead the way.”

She was tall, robed in white from head to toe. Gossamer-thin fabric even covered her eyes. There were no obvious horns or montrals beneath her hood. Her shoes clicked as she hurried gracefully forward to kneel opposite Ahsoka, heedless of the blood on her white clothes.
"Please," Ahsoka said, and found there were no other words.
The woman watched her for a moment, invisible eyes clearly directed at Ahsoka's face, and then she took a ragged breath and set her gloved hand atop Ahsoka's.
