1912. Human!Doctor John Smith has taken a professorship and research position in the Astronomy Department at Imperial College London. He is assigned a research assistant, Donna Noble. Adventures will ensue, of course, as well as many other things. Rated E because there will be language, sex, violence, alcohol and drug use, and some boring science.

In order to achieve his aims, however, Cesare is consulting with more than just humans. The Doctor and Donna contend with the ambitious, soulless young man, his cohorts, and his family, all determined to uphold one idea: Borgia.

1740. Casanova and Isabelle meet again in Rome for the election of the new pope. The death of Clement XII has left a vacuum of leadership in Italy and the political powers of the western world gather to witness, Casanova for the Doge of Venice, Isabelle as Ambassador of Lilliput. The conclave lasts six months. The Latin phrase “sub rosa” or "under the rose" is used in English to denote secrecy and confidentiality, and has been used since ancient Rome.
