She turns to him, his stricken expression staring back at her. This was all her fault and she wasn’t sure how in the world she was ever going to be able to fix it. “Don’t-“ He chokes a little as if the words are difficult to get out. “Don’t tell Marinette. Please.”
This, Marinette thinks, is what Tikki had meant when she’d said that this was all going to lead to misunderstandings.

Marinette soon learns, though, that these friends might not be as devoted to her as she thought. When Lila Rossi spreads a rumor about Marinette, nobody believes Marinette. Well, nobody except for 2 people. It just so happens that these 2 people are madly in love, and will do whatever it takes to win her love.
