Summary
The Boston Raiders know Shane Hollander is protective.
They know he feeds them, patches them up, remembers every allergy, and has somehow decided twenty-two grown hockey players are his personal responsibility.
What they don’t know is what happens when someone goes after one of his idiots.
After Montreal crosses a line with Boston’s youngest rookie, Shane decides he can handle it himself.
He probably should’ve remembered who taught the Raiders how to deal with an unhinged hockey player in the first place.
Because when Mom finally loses his shit, apparently it takes the whole fucking family to tame him.

Summary
Ilya returns to Boston after the cottage and finds Svetlana waiting in his kitchen. With wine and vodka and ready to look him straight in the eye and ask, “So it went well then, with your Shane?”
Ilya caves and tells her everything. Because clearly she already knows. She always knows.
----
“I want him to meet you,” Ilya says.
Sveta beams at him then, nodding, but he winces, adds, “Although maybe I didn’t do a very good job of... he’s jealous of you, I think. My fault. He might not want to meet you. He might... Ah, blyat.”
She is giving him another look. Another ‘you are very stupid but I love you’ look. He waits her out.
Sveta sighs. “So you are telling me that you were here in Boston, burning down everything around you because he was dating Rose Landry. And that boy was sitting at home jealous of me.”

Summary
“Six on one, huh?” Hayden says, looking down at the guy and then back at Shane.
“Yup,” Shane says. The cop starts to lead him to the car. He doesn’t bother to put up a fight. Just turns to J.J. and says in French, “I’ve been under the security camera since I called Hayden. It should have picked everything up.”
“Self-defense, then, and you can prove it. Yes?”
If the cop hadn’t closed the door then, Shane might even have responded: and I don’t have a scratch on me.
Or: After the fanmail video, but before Shane transfers to Ottawa, a group of guys sees Shane walking alone and decides to do something about it. It doesn’t go particularly well for them.
