in the year 1998, jenny calendar has been cast out of the scoobies for admittedly, though validly, being an idiot. a stranger claiming to be from the future comes in search of help from her and giles alike and despite all logic she has known previously, jenny trusts her. while on her mission, the stranger from the future isn't so strange at all. and, really, jenny is too observant to let that slide.

When Tara gets shot in the chest, Willow takes off without thinking to check for a pulse or any sign of breathing., leaving Dawn to come home and find a dying Tara lying on the floor. She calls 9-1-1, and spends the tortuous hours waiting in the hospital while waiting to find out whether or not Tara will survive.

That’s what Imogen Temult did last year. Quite unexpectedly. And now, she has to show everyone it wasn’t a fluke.
The other thing about climbing is you fall... something Laudna is all too familiar with. But she’s someone who embraces the fall, sticks the landing, and tries to keep on going until that timer is up.
Whether they intend to or not, they bring out a brighter side in each other. And they’re kind of becoming each other's favorite thing about the sport.

Casting helped distract from the memory of Laudna’s eyes looking at her in confusion, from Laudna, dreadful in her murderer’s mourning veil, from the smooth skin between her ribs where there should have been a jagged scar.
Imogen didn’t know where she was. She had to focus on the where of it all, couldn’t contemplate the nagging fear that where should not be her greatest concern. She didn’t think about the unstable marvel of Ashton’s brain. She didn’t think about her body moving out of time with itself. To even consider it was impossible.
