Badly enough he felt like he was losing his mind. Remembering his experiences caring for a submissive, he felt like perhaps that was what he needed, what was missing. You break up halfway through your fellowship. After you’ve already accepted a day shift attending position. It’s ugly, and messy and there’s a lot of yelling and tears.
But you’ve committed and you switch to days in the last half year of your fellowship to prepare for your future as a day shift attending. Despite yourself, and the sadness and anger that lingers after the break up with Robby moving to days is still the best thing that ever could have happened for you.
For Robby it’s the beginning of his spiral.
