"You want me to lie to him." Sunoo's voice was hollow. "You want me to pretend we're still together."
"Just for now. Just until he's stronger. Please, Sunoo. I know I have no right to ask this of you, I know what you've been through, but—" Her voice broke. "He's my son. And he's asking for his omega."
Sunoo closed his eyes. He'd spent a year learning how to unlove Sunghoon. A year teaching his heart that the bond between them was broken, that the alpha who'd been his whole world since he was ten years old was now just a stranger. A year of therapy and tears and slowly, painfully, putting himself back together.
And now they were asking him to tear it all down again.
Or, when Sunghoon loses three years of memories and the last thing he remembers is being loved by Sunoo. He couldn't be more afar from reality.

Sunoo is disheveled, to say the least. One hand is bloody from putting pressure on the stab wound, a bruise blooming on his chin, there’s perspiration sliding down from the dip of his collarbone to his neck.
For a fraction of a second, Sunghoon thinks he mistakes those beads of sweat for diamonds.
