“Will do you think we should date?”
Will pauses, because of course he would. Another car passes and Mike stops with him, shifting his body so he faces Will whose eyes are wide and mouth agape and face ridiculously red. Mike's lips curves in the corner at how adorable he looked. Will looks at him like he's looking at him for the first time. Mike shifts underneath his heavy gaze.
“What?”
Mike chortles. “I mean, we should date. Like be together.” he shrugs. “Boyfriends.”
Will opens his mouth, then closes, then again, like a fish gasping for water. Mike watches his eyes, then his lips, and laughs at Will’s reaction. It wasn't like he's asking him to kill someone for him.
Or Just Byler finding love a second time around.

Summary
Mike Wheeler thinks it's a bit unfair that Will Byers of all people thinks he never loved him. He had loved him before he even knew what it meant.
Mike never minded the sun until it shone one afternoon in the swing set and it had caught the briefest of Will's eyes and Mike had thought it shone the first time Will had nodded yes to be his friend.
Or Mike-centric narrative study where Mike fell first, and Mike fell harder.

Summary
Richard had always known he has this affiliation to romanticize life more than what it actually is. His fatal flaw. Longing for the picturesque of it all. The beauty of the grotesque. That stroke of perfection on an unfinished art. And sometimes, when the sun is just the right warm, and there's a sliver of peace as he lays in the grass with his back on the sun, watching Francis in his striped one piece bathing suit that shows off his lanky arms and stops mid thigh reading underneath a huge umbrella while faintly registering voices of Bunny and Charles chasing a swan in the lake as Henry and Camilla spectates them somewhere, Richard could think it would last. They could last.
