Ice has plenty of contingencies in place for if someone ever finds out about him and Maverick.
He does not have a plan for someone coming across Carole Bradshaw’s Polaroids from three decades prior and putting them on the internet, in an attempt to identify the pictured Navy officers, kissing & holding each other as if they weren't breaking the law & potentially their own careers.
Nor does he have a plan for Bradley being the one to bring the photos to his attention.

Sometimes, Ice thinks that he imagined it. Like his brain came up with a detailed, eight-year-long fever dream where Mav stood beside him, practically as his husband, split the duties in raising Jake, and then ran scared.
He wishes he had warned Penny Benjamin. If Ice was a more genial person, he thinks they could really have a cathartic night over a bottle or two of wine.
