Summary
The sound of mechanical groans and roaring weaponry shred the air to pieces, echoing beneath a blackened sky. Across the barren expanse of the ruined earth, automated beasts the size of skyscrapers and as wide as small cities march against each other, hurling their long-distance lasers from thousands of meters away. With each screeching whine of their massive metal legs, they power forward, leaving behind deep gouge marks in the dry dirt as they carry thousands of tons of weight over the expanse of this dead, war-torn planet.
Underneath a blackened sky, a younger model of these mechanical beasts of warfare -- Earthmovers, as they’re colloquially called -- takes aim at another in the distance.
