Summary
“Hey,” Felix says, still smiling, with that particular non-accent that implies he’s practiced this phrase against a backing track or an app until it’s perfect. Then, much more accented: “I was surprised. Nobody comes in here?”
The tan expanse of his body is distracting. Minho is distracted. He sees near-naked men all the time, there’s a camaraderie among the SNU team, but — Felix is almost a stranger, and his long bleached hair, which had been tugged ruthlessly back into a ponytail during training, is loose about his shoulders and curling faintly from the sweat. Minho has not had the time to build up an immunity. And the smile does not help — boyish, teasing, but also pretty in a way that defies itself. Minho knows this guy isn’t — delicate, had seen how quickly Felix got his weight under five of Minho’s hoobaes and sent them breathless to the ground with a searingly-quick harai, but somehow he seems to choreograph it as he blinks at Minho. Like, maybe, he wants Minho to see him as a pretty little thing.

Summary
“I’m playing around with the idea of higher-tier curses,” Minho explains, twirling his cat pen around in his hand. “I think it’s time I start transitioning into more premium clients.”
Seungmin pats Minho’s shoulder approvingly. “Tiered pricing structure, premium differentiation—textbook monopolistic competition moving toward monopoly pricing. I could use you as a case study for my microeconomics class.”
In which Minho learns that faith is its own type of magic.

Summary
She has to say it. She has to say it, because the last time someone was rolled away from her on a gurney it was to the morgue. Brushing the pads of her thumbs over his cheekbones, Samira stoops until their foreheads touch, her lips ghosting over his.
“I love you,” she whispers, eyes wide open.
Jack’s mouth curves into a gentle smile.
“I know.”
++
At shift change, Jack is stabbed by a patient brought into the Pitt. Samira Mohan can only watch, and wait, and wait.

Summary
She looked over at him, startled, but Abbot wasn’t looking at her face, he was looking at her hands where they rested on the table, or maybe at something past her hands that she couldn’t see. “I thought— I mean, you wear a wedding ring,” she said hesitantly.
He looked up at Mohan, keen-eyed and sharp. “Well, I wear dog tags, too,” he said.

Abbot and Mohan's unspoken situationship gets out of hand at work, and Mohan suggests a private conversation.
Whether or not any actual talking gets done is another question, though.- Language:
