    It was a small experiment. Dream wondered how long Hob would be able to resist the little torture and when his patience would run out. He was personally involved in the creation of each new dream of his lover, which gave Hob no chance to change them or force himself to wake up early. No conscience bothered Dream in the seven days he tormented Hob Gadling. Yes, he was asking for punishment and was looking forward to what his partner would do to him.
