Summary
And he always changed clothes after he came back in from smoking, wouldn’t come near Steve until he did. Said he didn’t want the smell to trigger anything. He was always so worried about that. The same way he worried about keeping his special photo chemicals in the closet where the light couldn’t degrade them. Or making sure he checked the voice machine each day in case he’d missed a call from Will.
It made Steve feel, valuable. To be worried about. To be treated the same way that Jonathan treated all these things in his life that he cared about.
or

Summary
Coriolanus reached for the remote as carefully as he could, knowing that the next few scenes were pretty loud. Sejanus was passed out next to him, tall, buff body awkwardly curled up halfway under a blanket with the top of his head pressed against the side of Coriolanus’ thigh.
or
Sejanus loses someone at work, and Coryo can only pray to see him get a good night’s sleep.

Summary
He truly hadn’t meant anything by it, or maybe he did, but either way he would’ve never said it if he knew Sejanus would’ve taken it that way.
But just as Coriolanus opened his mouth to spit out an apology-
his grip firmed a little, then eased up. His thumbs started to work circles into his traps; silent examination, almost exploratory.
Finally, a low voice from behind him.
“You could,” with an audible smirk. A joke.
