“We have a benefit tomorrow night,” Lan Xichen added in explanation, “here at the house, so we rather urgently need someone to look after A-Yuan.”
“I—” Wei Ying looked around the living room; at the nice furniture, at Lan Xichen, at the high ceilings, at A-Yuan still holding onto his hand. And then at Lan Zhan. “I could start now. Like, right now.”
“Mn.” Lan Zhan nodded, and then addressed A-Yuan. “Yuan-er, will you show Wei Ying his room?”
