   Summary

   Zuko had known for some time now. The feelings had crept up on him slowly, quietly, over the past few months. They were undeniable. He had tried to ignore them, bury them deep within, but they only seemed to grow stronger. She was everything—strong, compassionate, beautiful—and he couldn’t stop thinking about her. But Katara was the Avatar’s girl, and he was the Fire Lord. There was no place for someone like him in her world, no room for his feelings. He told himself it was foolish to hope.

   Yet, just when he thought he had it all figured out, Katara made a choice that no one, least of all Zuko, saw coming. Her decision would change everything, pushing them both to face what had been simmering between them for far too long.
