Summary
Dream isn’t quite sure what to make of his new teammate. He’s brash, brazen, and nothing less than completely and utterly dedicated to the art of half-baked answers and bewildering behavior. The Wanderer; The True Guardian. Ink keeps his secrets close and his vials even closer.
Those vials.
Dream wants nothing more than to know.
or
Eight times that Dream sought an answer, and the one time that Ink gave a straight response.

Summary
Ink is comfortable, and Dream is warm, his head on their chest as if listening to their soul-beat.
Of course, there's nothing there. Ink can't help but fear that Dream has noticed the same thing. Before they can think better of it, they ask, their voice soft in an attempt to mask their anxiety.
"Does it bother you? That I'm just... empty. No soul-beat, or aura, nothing. Like a corpse, if I just stopped talking."Dream exhales softly, then nuzzles closer, his face pressed against the soft shirt that covers their empty ribcage. His arms tighten around them, protective in a way that makes Ink feel more alive.
"Ink," he says softly, "would it be weird to say that you feel peaceful?"
-
(Ink feels self-conscious about their soullessness, especially because Dream can read anyone's emotions except theirs. How can Dream feel nothing from them, and still believe that Ink is real?
Dream doesn't see a problem, though. He's perpetually overwhelmed by everyone else's auras, and really can't imagine anything better than a peaceful undead friend to cuddle with.)Bookmarked by thebananabread

Summary
But I’m so nervous,” she admitted. “If Nightmare ever finds out you’ve been with me like this..”
“They won’t,” Killer cut in quickly. His voice was sharp—too sharp—and he softened it right after. “It’d be impossible for them to know, anyway. They can’t even enter a positive AU without getting all weak and sick. They’re not gonna show up here.”
“I know,” she whispered. “But still! Just the idea of it is worrisome. You’d be in trouble. And it’d be because of me.”
There was a pause. The ocean crashed gently in the distance. A bird called overhead.
“They’d probably kill me,” Killer said flatly, staring out at the waves like they might answer back.
Dream’s head snapped toward him, alarm widening her sockets. “Don’t say that.”
