“I c-can’t feel my legs-s-s.” he whispered, tears running down his face.
Lan Zhan turned to his uncle. “Uncle, we can’t leave him here, he saved me from the dogs.”
Lan Quiren looked like he had swallowed something really sour. The boy’s face reminded him of someone. Who, he couldn’t tell.
Or, Wei Ying is paralyzed when he meets Lan Zhan in Yilling, and is taken in by the Lans.

"Lan Zhan. You keep looking at my tail. Do you want to touch it? Go ahead, I don't mind. Just don't pull it, it turns me on." Wei Wuxian teased out, winking at him. He saw Lan Wangji's ears turn red, as he looked away.
"Shameless!" Lan Wangji shouts, Wei Wuxian cackles at his reaction. Jiang Cheng mutters an apology to Lan Wangji. He smacks Wei Wuxian on the arm.
"Wei Wuxian! Apologize right this second! Must you shame us, in front of our potential marriage partners! If mother found out about this, she will whip you with Zidian again! You are my servant, so act like it!" Jiang Cheng shouts. Hearing Jiang Cheng's last words, Wei Wuxian's ears drooped down. Seeing Wei Wuxian's face change, made Jiang Cheng regret his words. Wei Wuxian looks at Lan Wangji, and gives a little whine.
"This lowly fox servant apologies for offending, second young master. This one will understand, if you wish for someone else. Please excuse me." Wei Wuxian whispers, getting up from the table. Wei Wuxian went to turn away, when he felt a small tug on his wrist. He turns around, and see's Lan Wangji holding him. Desperation on his face.

“No women,” he makes sure to say to the madam, simply wanting to rest.
When he opens the door to his room, there is a man draped in red silk, waiting for him.
“Xiansheng,” the man croons. “It’s a beautiful rainy night, are you going to stand there all day?"

Summary
Wei Ying needs to pay Lan Zhan back because he denies feeling like a parasite anymore. Then life is full of surprises and his reunion with Lan Zhan is in a place no one would have expected it to be. Nor would anyone expect what Lan Zhan does next.
Or a story where Wei Ying gets a job in a brothel/inn with his pretty looks. It is a miracle in a way since he doesn't offer the typical service most of the workers do.
