“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” You muse. He likes that you speak your mind around him. You know he does. He never argues with you when you do. Some claim the effort was dishonorable, borne from a desperate desire to protect his brother and nephews.
Whatever the reason, no halt was granted.
Mushroom insists Prince Baelor had glimpsed “a pair of maiden’s eyes” behind the visor and would have stopped the trial to spare her, though whether this speaks to truth or to the fool’s taste for embellishment must be left to the reader.
